King Car Zhongli Plant was established in 1979, as the first King Car beverage plant. It produces coffee, functional beverages, carbonated beverages, tea, yogurt drinks, and malt beverages. Initially, the plant marketed its products under the King Car Root Beer brand to build up brand awareness. In 1982, the company introduced Mr. Brown Coffee, which became the leading bottled coffee in the market. Mr. Brown Coffee is made from specially selected beans imported directly from the source. The beans are roasted and extracted on high-speed production lines to increase production efficiency and ensure the best quality product for consumers. King Car’s Zhongli Plant practices modern, strict quality control principles. The plant has passed ISO9001 and ISO14001 international quality standard certification, guaranteeing the safety of our food and beverages and the integrity of our company.

Completed in 2018, this plant produces the Buckskin Beer series. The production of Buckskin adheres strictly to the Reinheitsgebot ("Beer Purity Law") of Bavaria in Germany, which dictates that beer can only be made with water, malt, hops, and yeast. The combination of these natural ingredients creates a complex flavor. King Car’s Buckskin is produced with centuries-old German royal craftsmanship. The plant has introduced a complete set of German-style brewing equipment and imports all raw materials. Extensive production experience is utilized to strictly control every detail and to produce delicate, mesmerizing flavors. Now consumers can enjoy fresh, traditional German-style beer, 100% made in Taiwan.

Established in 1992, this plant produces frozen noodles, instant porridge, three-in-one coffee, drip bag coffee, and health foods. From dark roasting to spray drying, this plant precisely controls the quality of the coffee powder production process to retain the coffee’s original aroma. In addition, the plant provides a variety of convenient products in various flavors, such as milk tea. Frozen noodles are made with premium wheat imported from the United States and Australia, free of chemical additives and ready to serve in 2-3 minutes without the need to be defrosted. King Car improves consumers’ quality of life by creating better and healthier foods. This plant has passed both ISO9001 and ISO14001 international quality standard certification, so that consumers can enjoy healthy and great tasting food with peace of mind.

Completed in 2014, this plant produces drip bag coffee, three-in-one instant coffee, and milk tea for the Chinese market. King Car’s systematic computer control is used to precisely master each production process, from roasting and grinding, to packaging and shipping. Consumers can enjoy the highest quality products without worry.

Established in 2016, this plant produces bottled coffee drinks for the ASEAN market. The entire production process, from coffee bean roasting to coffee liquid extraction, bottle filling, and sterilization, is maintained according to the same quality control standards as those in Taiwan. Products are made with end-to-end computerized operations and fully automated high-speed production lines, providing great coffee drinks to the people of Southeast Asia.

Established in 1996 in Yilan County, which is known for its beautiful scenery and pure water sources, this plant produces Green Time Natural Water (which has numerous domestic and international certifications), Kavalan Natural Water, yogurt drinks, teas, and Kavalan sweet coffee liqueur. The production line utilizes automated production equipment. The entire production, from plastic bottle production to filling and capping, is controlled by computers to ensure each product is of the highest quality. To meet modernization and quality control demands, this plant has passed ISO9001 and ISO14001 international quality standard certification, to provide consumers with higher quality and a wider variety of products.

Established in 2005, this plant produces Kavalan whisky and is the first whiskey distillery in Taiwan. In 2012, the Kavalan Whisky Distillery was selected by Whisky magazine of Britain as one of the best distilleries in the world, turning it into a global sensation. Kavalan has not only won best distillery honors for multiple years, but was also named Distillery of the Year in 2017. The Kavalan distillery is one of the must visit sites in Yilan!

The research facility was established in 1997. Its objective is to improve the health and well-being of the public by focusing on human medicine. Specifically, this facility is devoted to developing molecular testing technology and biochip technology. In 2000, the Yuanshan Research Facility collaborated with the Industrial Technology Research Institute’s Biomedical and Medical Material Institute to establish a central laboratory for biological data. The Yuanshan Research Facility also cooperates with numerous large teaching hospitals in researching predictive treatment in the field of molecular diagnostics for infectious diseases, cancers, and hereditary diseases. The facility has already successfully developed molecular testing technologies for several viruses and hereditary diseases. The research facility was granted Class 3 GMP in vitro diagnostic reagent verification from the Ministry of Health and Welfare for its R&D of the “human papilloma virus genotype chip” and authorization to develop a commercial product. The company has also successfully developed and produced test kits for hepatitis B and hepatitis C viruses. These all demonstrate the remarkable performance of this facility.

All products and raw materials are comprehensively tested, Including chemical analysis of pesticide residues, plasticizer, heavy metals, food contamination, and hazardous materials. All testing specifications and data quality conform to international standards. The Central Research Facility also provides food-testing services for entities outside of the company.
